How it started.
Meteor City was founded in July 2021 in Boston, Massachusetts by Brian Chen, a software engineer in the health-technology industry. Experience with clinical and operational data showed him the impact disciplined data can have: it turns uncertain decisions into engineering problems.
He brought that discipline to e-commerce, where products can be built, launched, and sold without geographic limits. Skyros, the company’s own data platform, informs what gets built; Elestoria is the product line that results, sold at retail through Amazon, Walmart, and Target, and at wholesale to organizations. Manufacturers also engage the company for market analysis and launches of their own.

How it runs.
Products are manufactured with a set of vetted partner factories in Asia and inspected twice, at the factory and again at the freight forwarder, before anything ships. Fulfillment runs through Amazon’s network and third-party logistics partners across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Wholesale orders are handled separately from retail: configured, kitted, and delivered against the buyer’s procurement requirements. Where a requirement doesn’t match an existing product, the company designs and manufactures to specification.
